How to Disinfect your Lash Tools

It seems everyone I know is either discussing how they are sanitizing their homes, their kids...their pets? -or- how to make at home hand sanitizer. And it dawned on me- most people probably forget things like their make-up tools.

I was trained to use QUATS (a professional grade) disinfectant in spas so it comes naturally to me to do this... but do you?

The good thing is, it's easy!

All you need is a shot glass - don't get any ideas, this isn't THAT kind of blog post.... but maybe later.) Next, good old fashioned isopropyl alcohol, some Q-tips & the tools you want to clean. (tweezers, lash application tools, etc.)

It isn't exactly rocket science. You pour the alcohol into a shot glass (about 3/4 of the way full) and submerge the tools in the glass. pointed side down. If you think your hands are particularly gross, feel free to flip them over after 2 or 3 minutes to clean both sides. :) Next step: Remove your tools from the disinfecting solution (AKA: rubbing alcohol) rinse under warm water if the smell bothers you and allow to dry on a CLEAN paper towel.

If you have any questions or comments, as always...Let me know!
