It's The Last Day of School!!

There is a totally weird & unique type of nostalgia that comes with parenting an only child.

As Mav walked towards his end-of-the-year party today, officially closing the chapter on 6th grade, it hit me: 7th grade is looming, and with it, the undeniable shift toward high school and young adulthood.

When you have an only child, time feels amplified. You don’t have a revolving door of school years; you have a linear timeline that moves fast and never loops back.

If you are celebrating the end of a school year today, take a breath. You made it through the projects, the early mornings, and the hormonal shifts. Dammmmmn, how did we get here??
